Naum Gabo, Linear Construction in Space No. 1 (Variation), 1943, Lucite with nylon thread; 24 1/8 x 24 1/4 x 9 7/8 in.; 61.2775 x 61.595 x 25.0825 cm. Acquired 1948. The Phillips Collection, Washington, D.C.

Naum Gabo, sculptor and founder of the Constructivist movement, died on this day thirty five years ago. View more of his mesmerizing works here.
