Let’s Dance: More Phillips Pop Culture Moments

How could it be that we’ve never noticed this before? Ianthe Gergel sent me the clip of David Bowie’s Let’s Dance video, telling me to pause it at the 2 minute 40 second mark, and of course, clear as a bell, there is our Paul Klee Printed Sheet with Picture (1937). And she also identified the painting on the right as Picasso’s The Three Dancers (1925).

Say It With Drawings

Ianthe Gergel (know as E) has been creating an illustration for the Tryst CafĂ© staff every week during the van Gogh exhibition as a way of saying thanks for the free weekend coffee they’ve offered staff members dealing with the crowds of visitors. And the rest of us get the benefit of these charmers every time we stop in the cafe for a treat.
